According to various sources DirecTv is set to FINALLY deliver Local HD goodness to Des Moines. Promised back in October of 2006, it appears that when you wake up next Wednesday morning that 5, 8, 13 and 17 will be in HD prettiness.
Des Moines will finally join the ranks of Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Omaha and Lincoln - yes, they have all had their local HDs for sometime.

Directv is a hooooooooooorrible company. Tried to get HD DVR set up 3 times and each time was a no show. Plus no one called afterward to apologize or try to re-schedule each time. Customer service people are nice but havent a clue as to what is going on or seem to care that I have to take time off work/weekend to wait for someone to show but to no avail. Love NFL Sunday Ticket but not going to pay for incompetence.
