Tucson viewers saw more than you…

Folks in Tucson saw more than just the Super Bowl Sunday. It seems that during the final minutes of the Super Bowl, just after Warner hooked up with the Fitzgerald, 30 seconds of Club Jenna, an adult cable television channel, was shown. The clip showed a woman unzipping a man’s pants followed by a graphic act between the two.

The best comment from a Tucson viewer:

“I just figured it was another commercial until I looked up,” said Cora King of Marana. “Then he did his little dance with everything hanging out.”

Also, it appears the clip was only shown on the standard definition broadcast. Another reason Congress shouldn’t delay the switch to digital.

ABC coverage map – Iowa/ISU

Here is the coverage map for this weekends ABC 2:30 slot – where both Iowa and ISU play. Iowa doesn’t get the main share of the national non-cable audience, but does pick up those homes on the ESPN cable feed.

DirecTV – Local HD channels coming in November

I am a huge DirecTv guy. Been with them since 1998.

The only real problem I have had with them is that they promised local HD channels to Des Moines back in October 2006. Last look at the calendar it is October 2008. Cedar Rapids has them. Lincoln, Nebraska has them. What is the hold up?

Well, it looks like DirecTv is finally going to deliver. According to the DirecTv website the Des Moines/Ames market will be getting HD locals in November.

That means no more putting tin foil on your head and standing on one leg to try to receive WOI’s HD signal.

Of course, Marty will still be wearing the tin foil on his head for other reasons.

Iowa vs. ISU available to most the country

The Big Ten Network has released their coverage map for this weeks slate of games. The Iowa-Iowa State game will be going to most of the country. Here are the local channels:

DirecTV 610 (HD)
Dish 439 or 9500 (HD)
Mediacom (not listed yet)
