Radio Waves/Marty Tirrell

Augusta, Georgia – Count me among a decided minority, but I LOVE golf on the radio. ESPN radio is in its full glory here at this old tree nursery in Augusta. Scott Van Pelt, Mike Tirico and a cast of producers put together the best pre-tourney coverage. Westwood One, Thursday-Sunday, gives to best blow-by-blow account and you can get on XM and Sirius too boot!

My outposts are from outside-the-gates–Glennfield and Downing Streets (No not #10 Downing, blokes!) There is a top Iowa political honcho within a chip-shot, but I haven’t seen him yet.

Jack Newman has a tidy following, but they haven’t committed to maid-service at their Augusta environs for the weekend just yet.

The best damn BBQ was closed last night…open Thursday-Sunday. hello…it’s Masters week!!!

Jerry Crawford and Nick Mauro (Crawford/Quailty Firm) hosting a Iowa-laden group near Gate 9. Crawford spotted tackling stuffed pizza, NY style, last night. Eavesdropper report Iowa football, James Ferentz, and a horse named Ziegfeld (owned by Crawford) runs in the Arkansas Deby this Saturday, were the appetizers for the Legal Beagles!

Dr. Bill Jacobson, Dr. Michael Lee and Tom Steffes (radio man on high school and Energy buckets) are set for their first-time starts along Washington Road.

Radio DT’s is full force…thanks for listening, er, reading!

62 and even!
