TURNER GILL OUT; AGENT TO EXPLAIN

Jamie Pollard was told flatly, “No” by UBuffalo head coach Turner Gill earlier today.

Gill’s attorney Steve Mooney is scheduled to appear on “Marty & Miller” at 4:05 today. Mooney is traveling to Texas today and says the Gill to Iowa State possibilities are “dead”.

UPDATE—

From The University of Buffalo:

University at Buffalo head football coach Turner Gill will remain on the Bulls sidelines in 2009 and for the foreseeable future after receiving an extension and increase in salary for the Bulls outstanding accomplishments this year.

Due to University policy, terms of the agreement will not be released.

Agent didnt even come close to saying Turner flat out turned it down. Said contract extension isnt signed yet… He totally pushed away the fact that something might not happen.

Agree with anonymous. Marty you are so full of yourself and trying to get the big scoop, you don’t even look/listen to what’s actually being said. And your short term memory is amazing!! You’ve spent the entire show saying Gill turned down ISU. Don’t you have to make an offer to be turned down? Now I know you’re going to come back with your usual “semantics” reply. Facts are no matter what source you claim to have, unless you’re Jamie Pollard you have no idea what coach is/was a the top of his list. Marty you’re a joke and Kenny should pull a Chizik and jump ship for a better gig!

Used to kind of enjoy Bama Bob, but his schtick is getting predictable and old. His SEC homerism knows no bounds and I about choked when he was asked on your radio show something to the affect of who was a great X's and O's coach, (and of course, he went to the SEC well) and answered Steve Spurrier. This guy can't hold a candle to half the coaches in the country, but got by with talent at Florida! He is so predictable…..the SEC has the best talent, coaches, blah, blah, everyone else is medicore. My favorite one that he constantly regurgitates is that an SEC team...
