Here’s what we DO know: AD Jamie Pollard was ‘getting ready’ to head out Tuesday for parts unknown.
Buffalo? Tulsa? Dallas? We’ll see.
Turner Gill is at or near the top of the Pollard Wishlist, but Pollard expects to log a whirlwind tour before extending an offer to anyone. However, insiders are saying this new coach will be on board in 7-10 days maximum.
Pollard is burning mad at Chizik; he didn’t use his name at press conference today and spoke of himself in the third person. Pollard stated things we cannot quote here about Chizik; and who can blame him.
By late this afternoon, Pollard was resilient and ready to go. His resolve in amazing. Lesser people would have cracked under this pressure.
